Chinese Learning Express Module 10

Module 10 explores shopping and bargaining. Students will learn how to ask about prices, how to bargain, and how to describe clothing sizes and colours. In one activity, students will develop an advertisement based on selling a product or clothes. Students will also role-play as a buyer or seller and will engage in a brief conversation about different items for purchase. For cultural reference, this module includes a description of China’s famous shopping malls and explains tactics of bargaining in such a place. This module’s assignment and assessment worksheets outline grammar points and allow students to develop their core language skillset: students will listen, speak, write and read in activities all based on inquiring about, bargaining for, and buying objects.
